FSI needed a re-vamped website to effectively showcase FSI’s specialties and experience so as to generate leads and attract new employees. It was imperative to provide clean and simple responsive design for ready access on all devices while being easily maintainable for FSI employees.
To meet these goals, Sage Tree Solutions and FSI agreed to leverage the power of Drupal to build a site that is content-driven, with the focus on FSI’s services and case studies. Optimizing primarily contributed Drupal modules, the site’s architecture ensures that high value is delivered at low cost - and that custom functionality is strategically implemented to meet FSI’s needs.

Enlightened User Experience A clear navigation structure and the homepage calls to action effectively guide site visitors to key website sections that highlight FSI’s expertise with in-depth information on their services and detail their achievements via case studies. Prioritizing user experience is not limited to the front-end. On the backend, a custom-designed admin dashboard provides an overview of site elements, content and key admin tasks. This makes creating and updating content, tracking leads from the contact form, and managing users simple for all admins, regardless of their web experience.
Flexible Responsive Design Throughout the site, a simple and clean design allows content to take the front-seat, while its responsive implementation ensures that content is easily readable and visually attractive on any device. The use of breakpoints allows for neatly collapsing content and menus vertically at different widths, optimizing the use of available space for different screen sizes.
Custom, Cost-Effective Border & Coastal Surveillance Map The Border & Coastal Surveillance page features an interactive map that showcases the areas in which FSI works. Case studies tagged with a location are marked on the map, with a pop-up for each providing teasers and a link to the specific case study. The map is a key example of how the impact of Drupal out-of-the-box can be maximized. It uses mostly contributed code from OpenLayers, requiring only minimal custom development to satisfy Client needs. Rather than doing an expensive, fully-custom build, the power of Drupal was effectively leveraged to provide a cheaper, thoroughly tested and high-quality mapping functionality.
